This is all the camera gear I currently have, some things I use more than others but I would recommend all of them.

Sony a5100 w/ 16-50 mm Lens + 3-inch Flip Up LCD

This is an awesome camera for beginners who don't want to spend a ton of money on a camera right off the bat. It has pretty good quality, great autofocus, is lightweight, and definitely easy to use.

Manfrotto Compact Tripod

This tripod extends to over 5 feet tall and makes it super easy tilt the camera while it's on. It also comes with an attachment so you can mount a phone on it and a bag to make it easy to carry. This works with small cameras but can also support the weight of bigger ones like the Canon 80D.

Neewer Ring Light

I should’ve gotten one of these a long time ago so I could film in my dark basement room but I guess better late than never! It has a nice dimmer switch, carrying case, and white and orange color filter snap on things which gives you the option between cool and warm lighting.

Joby GorillaPod Tripod

I used this tripod with my Sony a5100 in the very beginning and even after getting a larger tripod, it was really nice to use when vlogging/moving the camera around for a video frequently.

My Passport for Mac External Hard drive

I got this external hard drive to store videos so I could free up space on my computer. It holds 1000 GB's of stuff and is smaller than my hand so that's pretty cool.

Rode Shotgun Camera Mic

Since the Canon 80D comes with a very frustrating autofocus noise, I had to get an external mic to go with it, and this is the one I chose which seems to have pretty good quality to someone like me who doesn’t know much about microphones!

Joby Suction Cup and GorrillaPod Arm

This is a nice little window suction stand which works with lightweight cameras (like the Sony a5100) and was really nice for the 2 times I filmed while driving in my van… but I’m sure I’ll get back around to using it someday!

Canon eos 80d w/ 18-135 mm lens

I got this camera so I could make some videos that are a bit higher quality because I’ve seen a lot of people talk about it being a pretty good camera for beginners who don’t want a good quality camera but don’t want to be spending multiple thousands on one.
